The Council on State Fragility advances new ideas and evidence-based thinking in global fora and works to build consensus on new approaches to address state fragility among major international institutions and countries affected by conflict and fragility. The Council is composed of eminent persons who have a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges in addressing different dimensions of state fragility.
The Council provides strategic and policy leadership to the State Fragility initiative of the International Growth Centre. Academic leadership is given by Professors Paul Collier, Adnan Khan, and Tim Besley. The activities of the Council are coordinated by the Council's Secretariat, led by Rafat Al-Akhali (Convenor), Sarah Logan, and Camilla Sacchetto.
